Enjoy Your Candle Safely & Beautifully

Every Aristocrat Creations candle is thoughtfully hand-poured to provide a clean, even burn and a luxurious fragrance experience. Following these care instructions will help maximize the life of your candle while ensuring safe enjoyment.

Before Your First Burn

The first burn is the most important.

Allow your candle to burn until the melted wax reaches the edges of the vessel. This usually takes 2–4 hours, depending on the candle size.

Creating a full melt pool during the first burn helps prevent tunnelling and promotes an even burn throughout the life of your candle.

Trim Your Wick

Before every burn, trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch (6 mm).

A properly trimmed wick helps:

  • Produce a cleaner burn

  • Reduce soot

  • Prevent excessive flickering

  • Extend the life of your candle

Burn Time

For best performance:

  • Burn your candle for 2–4 hours at a time.

  • Avoid burning for more than 4 hours continuously.

Allow the wax to cool completely before relighting.

Candle Safety

Always:

  • Burn candles on a heat-resistant surface.

  • Keep candles away from children and pets.

  • Burn away from curtains, drafts, fans, and flammable objects.

  • Keep the wax free of matches, wick trimmings, and debris.

  • Leave at least 4 inches (10 cm) between burning candles.

Never:

  • Leave a burning candle unattended.

  • Move a candle while the wax is melted.

  • Burn a candle near anything that can catch fire.

When to Stop Burning

Discontinue use when approximately ½ inch (1.3 cm) of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.

Burning below this level may cause the container to overheat.

Storing Your Candle

To preserve fragrance quality:

  • Store in a cool, dry place.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

  • Keep the candle covered or in its original packaging when not in use to help protect the fragrance from dust.

Frosting

Because we use a premium soy wax blend, you may occasionally notice a light crystalline or frosted appearance on the surface of the wax.

This is a natural characteristic of soy wax and does not affect the quality, performance, or fragrance of your candle.

Caring for Drink-Inspired Candles

Our Tropical Indulgence Collection features handcrafted decorative details designed to resemble your favourite iced beverages.

As your candle burns:

  • Decorative wax elements will gradually melt into the candle.

  • Burn the candle on a level surface to promote an even melt.

  • Do not remove or discard decorative wax pieces—they are made from candle wax and are intended to melt safely.

Reuse Your Vessel

Once your candle has finished burning:

  1. Allow any remaining wax to cool.

  2. Remove leftover wax by placing the vessel in the freezer for several hours or by gently warming the container and wiping out the softened wax.

  3. Wash with warm, soapy water.

  4. Repurpose your beautiful vessel as:

    • A coffee mug (if food-safe)

    • A planter

    • A makeup brush holder

    • A pen holder

    • Decorative home storage
